As John Lloyd once asked in his infamous <QI> series: "if ignorance is a bliss, why aren't there more people happy?", I believe that it'sinside all of us the desireto seek for meaning and excellence. it's part of our human's nature to belooking for"the good". when we go to a restaurant and there is the best seat available, naturally we go for that seat. when there is a bowl of apples in front of us, natually we reach for the freshest one. when there is the most premium wine on the menu, we would like to go for IT......I've alwaysbelieved that our soul has the same tendency, no matterwhether or not one isaware. and it's perhaps the only way that truly makes one happier, which is to constantly be on the journey of being the better version of oneself, and to feel each quiver of its beating heart.
Having said that, this is a place where I share atiny bit of myself with the world during myown journey of searching for the good, and I hope, over time, this will be also aplace where other similarsouls - souls that long for a little moredepth and a little less ignorancewill find its daily cure, its comfort, laughterand itssmall dose of excitement.

When I am on my 9-6 fulltime job Monday to Friday, I often take the liberty of mind drifting no matter how busy the day looks like as some kind of private escape from the daily dullness of workplace disciplines. I’ve successfully taken every opportunity: during a large group presentation, a pleasant 2-minute lavatory releasing time, a coffee break, a cab ride to a client’s office, a small talk with a silly annoying yet unavoidable little man called “co-worker”, not to mention during those mind-numbing episodes of email browsing and desk sitting. Overtime, it has become a habit of art I master and as a result, it has produced many harmless, often disastrous, yet sometimes rather amusing fantasies. Most of them of course are forgotten by now as they should be, for their nature is too never meant to go beyond merely momentary fun and relaxation. However few of them have managed to crawl their way back through time, into the messy pile of crap inside the Xinlei memory lane, for which I’m more than happy to record and repeat to you as below in the hope that they would provide some entertainment value to my darling readers of Xinlei’s Humble Little Sketch Series.
